Insights to other aspects of Yogic practices are also occasionaly included to give the student the opportunity to acquire a foundation of knowledge in these areas, to prepare them if they wish to explore the world of Yoga further.
A typical class will also provide students a chance to interact in a fun loving atmosphere, and practice their Yoga towards their own objectives.

A great way for beginners to acquire a foundation to Yoga, before undertaking a class for the first time.
An initial assessment of health and range of movement is made, followed by an overview of Yoga and your own objectives. Maybe you have an health issue or are recoving from illness, or feeling the stresses of life.
We will explore breath awareness, correct postural alignment, and asanas.
This is an ideal way to start your Yoga journey,or assist in recovery from accident or injury.
Alternatively you may already be an experienced student (like Lorrine pictured here) who is looking to improve your asana practice by exploring the postures individually and in depth. Something not often possible in a large class.
A one to one lesson is worth the investment when starting out or wanting to enhance your practice.
James's Yoga and his Complementary Therapies are perfect for a healthier Body, Mind and Soul.
Why not combine them both with a Yoga Massage, see the therapies page for details.

THAI YOGA MASSAGE
Thai Yoga MassageThe TreatmentTraditional Thai Massage is a blend of yoga, acupressure and reflexology, Traditional Thai Massage, or Nuad Bo-Rarn, is designed to relax and open the body's natural energy flow. Unlike the strokes of western-style massage, Traditional Thai Massage uses point pressure, muscle stretching and compression done in a rhythmic movement of gentle rocking.
Sessions usually last from 90 to 120 minutes, so please allow yourself some extra time to experience this ancient form of bodywork.
Thai massage has been called “Passive Yoga” - because of the passive range of motion on the part of the receiver.
The therapist helps stretch your body into a variety of yoga-like positions at the same time doing manual compression strokes on the muscles to further enhance the stretch and release tension.
Thai Foot MassageThai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that involves hands on stretching and massage to “open” Sen (energy) Lines, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to promote general health and well-being. A Treatment in Thai Foot Massage will usually last for one hour.
Traditional Thai Massage and Thai Foot Massage compliment each other beautifully. Thai Massage balances the elements of the mind and body, while Thai Foot Massage stimulates the internal organs, giving the receiver an holistic treatment.
Benefits of a Thai Foot Massage

Thai Yoga massage also known as passive yoga, is a full body treatment design to be perfomed with the client fully clothed wearing loose fitting garments laid on a futon. The therapists works along SEN lines up and down the body, releasing energy removing any blockages, whilst moving the body through various yogic based positions giving the body deep stretches.
What are the special benefits of Thai yoga massage?
It assist; in eliminating tension, improving flexibility, enhancing sports performance, in maintaining a pain-free healthy body
Thai yoga massage is designed to stretch every accessible muscle a little more than it normally would under the action of strongly contracting antagonistic muscles. Thai yoga massage is a highly effective therapy for treating a range of pathological conditions of the muscular-skeletal system such as lower back pain, sciatica, fibrosis’s etc.
Thai Yoga Massage and Sports InjuriesMost sports injuries involve damage to muscle fibres, myofascia or tendons and they are commonly caused by overuse of muscles that are not functionally balanced with other muscles in their group and with their antagonists.
Thai yoga massage therapy enables every individual muscle to assume its normal relaxed length when not contracting.
When injury does occur the controlled stretches and manipulations in Thai yoga massage have an ability to healing and restore pain-free function compared with most Western Sports Massage.
Thai Yoga Massage provides maintenance that muscles need, improving performance by reducing the risk of injury for athletes and dancers during their training.
It assist; in improving circulation in limbs, such as legs and feet,in stimulating lymphatic drainage, in helping to remove toxins, to boost the immune system, in reducing stiffness and improving flexibility
Thai Yoga Massage is not just for the super fit, the streches are modified to the clients own flexibility and comfort, this is why it is so popular as a holiday treat on those trips to the Far East.
"Thai Yoga Massage"
The Thai foot massage was a 'different experience', I've had reflexology before but the use of the 'tool' made the sensation extremely relaxing yet stimulating!
